PØKK!: Hyperboreal Trio
Hyperboreal Trio originated in Trondheim in the spring of 2023, when Axel Filip organized a studio session with Norwegian double-bassist Ingebrigt Haker Flaten and Danish saxophonist Signe Emmeluth. The fusion of these three distinct personalities resulted in an album characterized by raw, complex yet arid soundscapes that seamlessly evolve into instantaneously composed pieces with clear structures. In their first album, the organic assertiveness and cohesion of the trio quickly become palpable to the listener.
